Centrifugal Upblast Power Roof ventilators are designed to exhaust grease-laden air (UL 762) and for general ventilation applications (UL 705). Fan construction features sealed spun aluminum positive ventilation motor compartment, one-piece deep-spun venturi, built in grease trough and drain, aluminum non-overloading centrifugal ventilator wheel.

Centrifugal Downblast Domed Power Roof Ventilators are ideal for ventilation of commercial and institutional buildings. Fan features spun aluminum weather resistant housing with isolated fan-cooled motor-drive compartment. Self aligning regreasable ball bearings are standard.

The low silhouette spun aluminum centrifugal power roof ventilators, and louvered aluminum power roof ventilators are created for low cost general exhaust for a wide range of commercial uses. Both ventilator designs utilize standard variable pitch V-belt drive, adjustable fan motor support base, and non-overloading aluminum wheel, or axial fan prop.

Filtered Air Supply Roof Ventilators are designed to supply untempered make-up air to environments, where vapors, mist, gases, or odors are removed by an exhaust system. Applications include garages, foundries, plants, kitchens, athletic clubs,etc. Fan features weather hood (galvanized, or epoxy coated) with insulation for moisture barrier, forward curved centrifugal blower, or axial prop fan, removable access panel, rubber vibration isolators, and 1” aluminum washable fan filters.

Upblast Axial Power Roof Ventilators are general ventilation units for handling of large volumes of air. A distinctive feature of the fan is leak-proof butterfly damper with watertight sealed base. Wheel again is axial die formed propeller fans, or cast aluminum adjustable pitch airfoil propeller.

Axial Hooded Power Roof Ventilators are high capacity exhaust fans, designed for removal of large volumes of air in warehouses, factories and mills. Fan features weather hood, rain channels and watertight sealed base with spun venturi. Wheel is either die formed fan propeller, or cast aluminum adj. pitch propeller. Bird screens, Insect screens and removable filter packages are optional.

Type RPBC Revirsible (exhaust/supply) Canada Blower Roof Ventilators

APPLICATIONS: American CoolAir Type RPBC ventilators are single units designed for both exhaust and supply. Canada Blower fan unit is elevated above the roof curb, eliminating the possible damper clearance problem, and the backdraft damper should be mounted in the standard roof curb. The unit can also be specified less the fan component for use as a gravity ventilator.

CONSTRUCTION: Canada Blower RPBC PRVs incorporate Style C (belt drive) fan components: adjustable pitch cast aluminum airfoil propeller blades with alternate blades turned 180° and a double orifice attached to the fan panel. The result is essentially equal air movement abilities in either exhaust or supply mode. The exhaust capability is reduced slightly due to air flow restrictions imposed by the hood, even through the propeller performs equally in both directions. To prevent backdraft when the unit is not energized, a center pivoted, motorized damper is recommended. Fan could be reversed for use as air supply, or exhaust ventilator by changing rotation of the fan prop. The motor and drive components are above the roof curb. The ventilators utilize cast aluminum adjustable pitch blade assembly with cast aluminum hub secured to a heavy duty shaft with pillow block ball bearings.

Fan accessories: Prefabricated weather proof roof curbs, pitched to suit the roof slope are available in galvanized steel or aluminum. Automatic and Motor-Operated Backdraft Dampers provide weather protection and prevent backdraft. Aluminum hood, or aluminum hood/stack combination is available for corrosive environment. Side discharge is used for connection to supply / exhaust duct located outside on the roof. Safety Guard, Bird Screen, Insect Screen, or Filter Package are available upon request. Special protective coatings and alloys (aluminum, or stainless) are optional. Pre-wired and loose Safety Disconnect Switch, and Fan Speed Controller are optional.

Canada Blower FRP Tubeaxial Fans FTX are designed for ventilation and industrial process applications where corrosive fumes may be present in the air stream and/or surrounding atmosphere. All fan parts exposed to the air stream are constructed of high-quality, corrosion-resistant fiberglass reinforced plastic.

FAN DESIGN FEATURES

* Available in two ventilator models: LP for low to moderate pressure and HP for higher pressure applications.
* Thirteen sizes: 12”, 16”, 18”, 20”, 24”, 28”, 32”, 36”, 40”, 44”, 48”, 54” and 60” fan wheel diameter.

CONSTRUCTION FEATURES

* Ventilator housing is made of Hetron 99P chemical-duty polyester resin with Class I flame spread rating of 25 or less and UV inhibitor. Synthetic veil provides smooth interior for efficient air flow and creates impenetrable surface to most airstream corrosives. Exterior gel coat finish color is gray.
* Wheel features highly-efficient, airfoil-shaped FRP blades bonded to a FRP hub. Wheel constructed of Hetron FR992 premiumquality, flame-retardant vinyl-ester resin. Bushing protected by removable FRP cap for easy maintenance.
* Fan wheel is statically balanced prior to assembly.
* Motor mount is constructed of FRP and is fully adjustable for belt tensioning.
* FRP motor cover provided as standard.
* Bearing, shaft and drive protected from the airstream by a FRP drive tube mounted on FRP supports.
